I’m in need of a bit of creative inspiration tonight. I thought I might share a few pics from our December trip to The Alhambra in Granada, Spain.
The original fortress was constructed in 889 with various rebuilds and constructs through the 16th century. So yeah, these tiles are supremely vintage. I found them truly inspirational and I hope you enjoy them too.
Note that none of the moorish designs were permitted to resemble humans or animals. Most designs are geometric and repetitive. The amount of detail in this palace was astounding.
Are you a designer? Where do you find your inspiration? I’d love to hear from you!
Thanks for visiting.
