*Update: 4/30/14 Happened to be back in Noe Valley. The store is moving and is 99% empty. I didn’t catch a picture of it- but there was a fun/funky iron & glass etagere selling for $75. Seems most fixtures had been claimed. A few little bargains left.
One beautiful February day, (yes- we have those in the Bay Area!) my family met up with fantastic friends of ours to wander around their neighborhood. They happen to live in Noe Valley, a happy, hilly part of San Francisco with beautiful buildings, good food, and great stores.
Toward the end of our afternoon, the ladies popped into Global Exchange to have a peek. The front windows drew us in.
Global Exchange focuses on Fair Trade products including textiles for both fashion and home, home accessories and jewelry. The store carries beautiful items that blend nicely into many aesthetics.
There is a bit of something for everyone. Great gifts too including singing bowls, beautiful had woven baskets variety of jewelry, placemats and trays. Each vignette is full of lovely items.
Mother’s day is coming up as is the end of the school year. This would be a perfect spot to pick up a gift for mom, teacher or hostess gift.
PS-Pop in while you can. I have heard the store may be moving to a Berkeley location. You can see their site for details.
